 It is virtual field trip week for STEM! We are heading to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington D.C. 
You can use your engineering know-how to design and test an aircraft. Follow the the Wright Brothers' journey in an interactive game. Later you can check out other exhibits in the museum.
STEP 1:  EXPLORE THE TIMELINE
Before building your own plane, checkout The Wright Brothers' Timeline and artifacts to better understand how they designed their airplane. The exhibit is called The Wright Brothers & The Invention of the Aerial Age.

STEP 2:  FOLLOW THE WRIGHT BROTHERS THROUGH HISTORY
Play the game. This game will take you one a walk through history while you make your own aircraft. In the Wright Brothers' workshop, click on the drawers to engineer your own plane and see if it will fly!

STEP 3:  EXPLORE THE MUSEUM
Follow this link and click on this image to take the virtual tour of the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. You click on the X to move forward and turn by dragging in that direction. There are many other games and place to visit at the museum, explore away and ENJOY!
