Go to the website "How Stuff Works" below and learn  what is an autonomous robot.

How Robots Work

Autonomous robots can act on their own, independent of any controller. The basic idea is to program the robot to respond a certain way to outside stimuli. The very simple bump-and-go robot is a good illustration of how this works. This sort of robot has a bumper sensor to detect obstacles.

Go to the "Robots" website below. To find a category of Robots click on 'Robots', 'Sort Robots', and under 'Type' choose your category.    Use this website  below to find a robot that is autonomous.  Watch videos, and learn as much as you can about the robot.
